The Weight of Raisins

"We are buried beneath the weight of information, which is being confused with knowledge; quantity is being confused with abundance and wealth with happiness." --Tom Waits, on what is wrong with the world (and me). I can't handle it, you guys. All of it. Raisins and the bus schedule, iphones, the sound of Zoey singing. The walls are thin and I can feel winter pass through each window pane. It's my own doing, of course, isn't it always? I told myself I had to post every day, like a job. But the raisins--did I tell you? They are everywhere! On the floor beneath the coffee table, in between the cushions of every seat, lining the bottom of my purse like lint. And if I have learned anything in this world it is to listen to raisins, what the sun will do to a grape.
I will not be posting every day anymore. More like 3 days a week, I think. No less. Certainly no less. I mean, you won't think less of me will you? You'll still visit, read? Comment? After all, if Tom Waits is right, then maybe my posts will be better this way. And let's be honest--when has Tom Waits ever been wrong? Never, I tell you, never, which is good because there are odd raisins in my car stuck like pebbles across the floorboards.

xoxo,
S

of course we'll still read, you looney tune!

But I have to know...where on earth do you get the images for this blog and what are the words you use to find them? Just for kicks, use today's post for an example. Thanks!

I am impressed that you have been posting every day for so long! I will of course still read you... whether you post twice a week or once a week or even once a month.
It'll be something to look forward to.
As always.... I just love your way with words.

Sunday night snuck up on me and I didn't call you like I wanted to say GOOD LUCK today. I'm thinking about you! (and you know I'll still read, of course)

By the way, that second picture kind of looks like you (the face, not the boobies, although maybe your boobies look like that as I have not seen them naked).

As a non-blogger, I never could figure out how a person has the time and energy to post every day. Now that you have added "paid work" back into your repetoire, it's totally understandable, girl! I'll continue to be here with my dorky comments on a regular basis.

Today the story is boring--I found the pics on fffound and tried to trace them back to the original source, but, well, you see how far I got. Generally I find pics all over the great www.

Thank you all for being so awesome. And Erin--my boobs totally look like that.

As long as you're posting, I'm reading! It was a sad act of defeat the day I had to admit I couldn't keep up the daily posts, but life has to happen. Your blog still rules no matter what!

Well, I'm out of here.

I signed up for FIVE days a week of my Petunia Faced fix.

This just won't do. Get Nacho on the phone, we need to talk.

(Three days a week is fine. XO)

I don't know how you did 5 days a week for so long...I can't. I can't think of anything in my life that would be that interesting to talk about...yet you did. I will certainly miss my everyday fix...but I'm so happy for you and your new job...you deserve some peace and prosperity! Ofcourse I will still read. You are my "IT" Girl remember?

DO NOT remove Zoey's car seat from your car at this point. The raisins that could be lurking there might be the last straw for you and we'd never hear / read from you again and that would be tragic. Stay away from the car seat! Car seats are raisin magnets.

OH SUSANNAH...
R U freaking kidding me??? For goodness sakes...I mean, you get a job, and now all of a sudden you want to just discard us likes yesterdays newspaper. For the love! I mean, how do you expect me to sit here with baited breath just waiting...waiting for every other day...hitting the refresh button just to see if you decide to post. Seriously...I am completely kidding...exaggerated kidding. Remember how I emailed you about starting my blog back in August? Asked ? about talking about family, etc...well, since August, I have made 2 posts, count them TWO! Two posts in 3 months. Now, it's not because I do not have a lot to say, because oh, I do...I just do not have the time to say it...i am constantly writing a blog in my very own head, but actually sitting down, and typing it out, giving it thought, direction, meaning, and hopefully correct spelling. Well, it just hasn't happened. So, I guess I am going to be ok if you don't post but 3 times a week, but please know I am really gonna miss you. Take a deep breath, look around, realize what's still important, hug that family of yours and try, oh my, try...to not take it all too serious! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving...I'll be right here waiting...hitting the refresh button. :)

Those better be some seriously magnificent awe inspiring posts if you slack it to three three days a week. That's all I am saying. They better be BRILLIANT.
