Petunia Face's Economic Stimulus Plan (Beware: This Post May Contain Complex Heterodoxical Supply and Demand Macro Market Jargon. In Theory.)

Tee Hee.

Tomorrow I am getting a deluxe facial. I am also contemplating buying this, this or this. Truth be told I have nowhere to don that last this but if I'm going to be fiscally fucked I'd rather be fucked in a pretty red party frock. Fuck that, right? After all, my balls aren't blue.
That, my dears, is my economic stimulus plan. To keep calm and carry on, as it were. To take a cold shower and still steam my pores.
And you? What are you doing in this session that nobody will just come right out and call a re(cession)?

Petunia darlin', I'm right with you & I love THIS #1, if you'd like a reader's opinion :) I contunied along with my economic stimulus plan by having a deluxe manni & peddi yesterday, and how lovely it was! The hubs & I are even in the market for a new "big" TV - so I can keep up with all of my shows. Thanks for the post; they're always such a pleasure to read. Happy shopping!

new giant banana palms for outside the store were today's purchase. tomorrow, a whole day of shopping with a friend for a design*sponge feature. next week a Jay Z concert and palm springs with a girlfriend and the following, a long weekend in napa eating kobe beef and drinking fine wine. November brings a week on Maui and whatever the cat drags in! There is no time like the present and I like to live in the moment. Besides I have to act as wild as possible before I put a bun in my belly mid winter (or that's the plan anyway...).

oooh, I like all these ideas. Especially the bun in the oven mid-winter. Me? I'm thinking a Spring conception :) like lambs and other farmyard animals do.

Burying my head in the sandbox. I'll come out in 8-10 years, about when my funds might almost be back to where they were a year ago. Discounting any inflation, of course.

I'm still getting my hair done. Can't give that up. And thanks for the reminder, I've got a facial gift certificate. I night as well pull that out before the spa goes out of business or something. Use it or lose it.

bun in the oven? Petunia Face #2? Will that mean hysterically funny pregnancy blogs? I can't wait! Oh, wait, this post is about the economy. I like spending money, and I need a new fall wardrobe. Will that help the current situation?

Every time I go out in the world (as opposed to spending the day in my little house in the woods), I spend money. Without fail. Every time, I bring something home in a bag, and I have to leave it in the car until Greg is distracted by the bad news on CNN, and then I go out and get it and unwrap it and put it in my closet or Sadie's closet or Frida's little drawer.
Tee hee.

I'm spending all of my money to pay vet bills for my crazy dog who keeps eating things that poison him, etc. For what I've spent in the last few weeks, I could get two of those dresses! I'd pick the first and the last.

By the way, congrats on your blog awards! Since grad school, I've been amazed by your wit and language. It was great to see you at Linnea's a while back, and you inspired me to start a blog despite the fact that it will never be as funny as Petunia Face!

Ok, those dresses are drop dead gorgeous, but I've never, ever spent my money on clothes. =\

I will, however, not stop going out to eat and have yummy goodness & wine. =D and possibly some new shoes... That's how I keep the economy rollin'

OOH I like this game. Well, for one, I'm taking advantage of the 20% JCrew sale online today. Also, hiring a bartender to help out at our party on Saturday. That last part is up for discussion, because Paul thinks that's too frivolous, but I think it could be fun, don't you?!
