I don't know which place scares me more. My heart goes out to you to be so far from home and in a country torn apart by war. I pray for your safe trip home and speedy recovery...Trina Coopernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317198515686034704.post-51624680482063194432015-01-30T22:58:13.445-08:002015-01-30T22:58:13.445-08:00All the xoxoxoxoxos in the universe. One man has been working in Israel for a long time trying to facilitate talks between Arabs and Jews. His stories are fascinating and in particular, he says it is a conflict that is so deep, it may never be healed. It is not politics, not religion, not culture, but all of those and more. Amazing. I can't imagine living there or being in that state of mind. You will be forever changed and the better for knowing it.Nancy Fastenauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08497433828888474074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317198515686034704.post-59845927733088910922015-01-30T09:25:35.455-08:002015-01-30T09:25:35.455-08:00I don't think there will ever be peace either,...I don't think there will ever be peace either, and I guess that also makes me cry. It's so hard to understand how they're so interconnected, and how there's a very nice man who's killed teenagers and blown up people's houses, who would be scared of the women who rubbed your back.

In the US, it's so easy to forget that there's anything else. You need to spend most of your time not thinking about it because, like you said, it's too much muchness.ElizabethThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11137893192854563293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317198515686034704.post-24344442111783952922015-01-30T08:31:48.960-08:002015-01-30T08:31:48.960-08:00Unfortunately, peace is not in their cards. I have...Unfortunately, peace is not in their cards. I have an Israeli friend and that's what she's been saying for years. No matter to whom you talk to - Israeli, Hamas, Palestinians, Hezbollah - they're all right, yet they can't come to terms.

Of course you're crying, who wouldn't in your situation? I'd be aching for my family too and it is a terrible ache, a debilitating ache. Yet, it's good to let it out and deal with these emotions, let them run its course and re-emerge stronger from it. We're the "happy-go-lucky" society who always wants to be upbeat and hides any negative feelings under the rug. Life brings us the good with the bad and how we deal with it and how we approach it, will be the determined factor in how well we can deal with it - and most importantly, overcome it. Cry your heart out, you'll know yourself when you've reached the point to move on. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
