Pretty Little Head

In my pretty little head this is what I will look like this weekend:
I should think the hair balls (not to be confused with, well, hairballs) would go nicely with this frock from my fantasies, n'est ce pas?
But the very best part? The part that will have me watching commercials in a Friday night fugue state rather than bableep bableep bableeping through them on my Tivo? The best part is that in my pretty little head of daydream believers I am going to swagger through the weekend like a Solid Gold dancer workin' the line.
And not one of my yellow hair balls will fall out.

We made it. Happy Friday. Now work it.

I loved that you always find the best clips

I stood in front of the TV making up dances when I was little to that show, Solid Gold and lets not forget Dance Fever...

I *heart* disco!

Boops--honestly, I love the solid gold clothes. Seriously sexy stuff, and if I could dress like that without looking like I was wearing a costume, I so totally would!
Xo all,

Have you seen the Soul Train doc that VH1 is airing?? We watched and my kids were simultaneously impressed and horrified that I could do about half the dances. Ooooooh yeah, just wait till it's my turn to chaperone.

Peace, love and soooooul to you this weekend.

Oops. I mean Soul Train, NOT Solid Gold. Gah.

you always manage to hit just the right spot.

also, you do know those "balls" are flowers, right?

MFAMB--I had a feeling the balls were those little yellow flower thingies. I love them so much. Maybe this weekend I'll research if I could grow them here. Then I could wear them in my hair every day! (I'd become known as that crazy Craspedia Billy Ball Lady!)

Did you really not realize what a grossly inappropriate post you left on Andrea Scher's blog? Promoting your blog on her site in the entry where she is sharing that her young child may be seriously ill? What is wrong with you?

Dear Anonymous,

While I appreciate the fact that you are sticking up for someone that is going through something difficult, I do wish you'd think before you comment. I read your comment and thought "Huh? WTF is she talking about?" Then went on over to that blog and did some detective work. I DID NOT LEAVE A COMMENT THERE PROMOTING MY BLOG. The comment I believe you are referring to is from someone completely different, someone I do not know. Here is the actual comment I cut and pasted:

"Dear Andrea and readers,

You really must check out my blog. I hope you like it.

www.melissacmorris.com

and I am sure you West Coasters are going to love this one too: http://petuniafacedgirl.blogspot.com/">http://petuniafacedgirl.blogspot.com/">http://petuniafacedgirl.blogspot.com/

Cheers!

I repeat: I DID NOT LEAVE THAT COMMENT.

And I wish you'd done a little sleuthing yourself before you came over here all huffy and accusatory.

I want hair balls!

Oh dear. I clean enough hair balls off of my carpet to make it completely definite that I will never put one in my hair. No matter how French and cute they are.
